MOST of the activities of the British Games Club are centred around the tennis club, Centro Deportivo y de Ocio – more usually known locally as Alvaro's – in the El Botanico area of Puerto de la Cruz.
The Games Club has lively sections for bowls and tennis, groups for bridge and mahjong players, and regular social events are held, such as the very popular quiz nights.
Membership of the British Games Club is just ten euros a year, although the bowls and tennis sections also have their own additional playing fees.
Bridge and mahjong players also pay a supplement to take part in their sessions.
Detailed information about all of these activities can be found elsewhere on this website by following the appropriate links.
Alvaro's has a wide range of facilities for members, including a full bar offering drinks and snacks.
Bar food is available all day and there are good views of Teide from the bar and terrace.
